Kaeng Krachan ( Popular tour booking for one day and many day trip !! )

This location is the most top birding site in the central of Thailand, one of the best locations of the country and also of Southeast Asia. In each year, ten thousands of Thai and foreign birdwatchers visit this place. Kaeng Krachan is also one of the significant birding tour programs that European and American birdwatchers can't miss.

Presently, there are more than 400 kinds of birds found in Kaeng Krachan National Park. The Park is counted as the preserved forest that supports the maximum number of found birds in the country. In percentage, about 50 percent of recorded birds in Thailand are found in this location. Besides, Kaeng Krachan has an outstanding feature that there is no location like, as it is both a reproductive source of those northern and southern birds. Thus, it supports the most various kinds of birds in the country. You can find not only the northern and southern birds in the same place, but also those in lowland forest like Giant Pitta , Crested Jay and those in highland like Flavescent Bulbul, Rusty-naped Pitta

Importantly, because of the various geographical conditions; lake, waterfall, grass field, forest-skirt, dry forest and evergreen forest; Kaeng Krachan National Park contains, therefore, all categories of various bird species like City Bird, Water Bird, Paddy field Bird and Forest Bird can be seen in this site.

Nowaday, the new found birds are continually reported and tentatively increased. Many kinds of birds are found unbelievably, such as Giant Pitta, Rufous-collared Kingfisher, Chestnuts Napped Forktail and White-fronted Scops-Owl. Besides, the superstar that becomes the symbolic of this place is Racket-tailed Treepie, which only in this site can be found. It is every birdwatcher's climax when they visit this site. 

Key site in side park  

1. Around the National Park's Headquarters-the hostel-around clay-made dam    The found birds are mostly City Birds, Water Birds and birds those live in groves or dry forest. The ones which can be seen easily are White-vented Myna, White-rumped Shama, Tree Sparrow, Common Iora, Black-collared Starling, Greater Flameback, Black crested Bulbul, Coppersmith Barbet, Lesser Necklaced Laughingthrush, Shikra, Osprey, White-breasted Waterhen, White-throated Kingfisher, Little Grebe.

In the late evening or when it gets dark, Night Birds that can be found are like Lager-tailed Nightjar, Collared Scops-Owl, Java Frogmouth.

2. Sam-Yod Gate The area is in the margin of agricultural area and grass-field in the skirt of groves. Those which often and certainly be found are like Crested Goshawk, Chinese Francolin, Bright-capped Cisticola, Plan Prinia, Scaly-breasted Munia, Green-eared Barbet, Black-naped Oriole, Grey-headed Woodpecker and many kind of Swallow.

3. Baan Krang, at the 15 kilometer    Baan Krang is one of the best birding point in this forest park. Beside there are many birds to see, the trail there is easy to walk. Birdwatchers do not have to worry about blood sucking snails. The superstars which often seen are Crested Jay, Green Magpie, Orange-breasted Trogon, Great Slaty Woodpecker, Malaya Night-Heron, Sultan Tit, Great Hornbill, Brown Hornbill, Crested-serpent Eagle and Broadbill more 6 specie, Kingfisher more 4 specie, Pitta more 6 specie, Woodpecker more 6 specie, Malkoha more 3 specie to you can see.

Those abundant of Night Birds (if you come and see) are such as Brown wooded Owl, Buffy Fish-Owl, White-fronted Scops-Owl

4. From the 27 to 30 kilometer  Along this area supports a fertile hill evergreen forest. Almost of those colorful and the northern birds can be found. Beside the superstar, Racket-tailed Treepie, those attractive ones such as Mountain Imperial Pigeon, Golden-throated Barbet, Wreathed Hornbill, White-browed Shrike-Babbler, Oriental Dwarf Kingfisher, Coral-billed Scimitar-Babbler, Long-tailed Broadbill, Blue Pitta, Red-naped Trogon, yellow-eared Spiderhunter and Grey-breasted Spiderhunter are there.
