East Side of Bangkok
East of Bangkok, The birding spot is less than the west side. But in the east, with the large birding spot of Thailand, ฺBang Phra Lake or Non-hunting Area this's place popular for Thai birder and foreigners usually to routinely because have a variety of birds and may have no found some specie on the West bird such as Rufous Treepie, Lesser Adjutant, Spot-billed Pelican, Rain Quail, Chinese Francolin.

Bang Pra Non-hunting Area, in Chonburi province the located in south east of Bangkok, distance 100 km. from Bangkok (1 hour drive). The area is great for a half day trip as it manages to pack in some forest, semi freshwater dam surrounded by, grassy areas wood land and wetland.

The reservoir is one used to hold water for irrigation and drinking and as a fshery rather than for hydro-electric purposes, meaning that it is shallow and abundant in birdlife. Local people are permitted to fsh, gather plants and graze cattle but hunting birds and mammals is forbidden. This is a good place to see a good range of birds in a short space of time, including a number of species that are not often recorded on birding holidays to Thailand, and an ideal location for a day trip from Bangkok or, indeed, Pattaya where many people stay on package holidays. The grassland is probably the most productive and valuable habitat here, in peak season it would be possible to see over 80 species in a day.

All year round you can see many resident birds in open country, lake & grass land bird such as Yellow-vented Bulbuls, Scarlet-backed Flowerpecker, Asian palm Swifts, Germaine’s Swiftlets, Ashy Wood Swallow, Blue-tailed Bee-eaters, Green Bee-eater, Scaly-breasted Munia, Dark-necked Tailorbirds, Pied Fantail, Racket-tailed Treepie, Rufous Treepie, Ashy Drongo, Asian Pied Starlings, Lesser Whistling Duck, White-breasted Waterhens, Chestnut-capped Babbler, Greater Coucal, Asian Openbill, Little Cormorants, Chinese Pond Heron, Red-wattled lapwing, Black-winged Stilt, Paddyfeld Pipit, Indochinese Bushlark, Grey-breasted Prinia and 2 star bird for here is Chinese Francolin, Rain Quail also found.  Wood land possible to see White-crested Laughingthrushes, Lineated Barbets, Coppersmith Barbet, Asian Barred Owlet, Spotted Owlet, Hoopoe, Greater Racket-tailed Drongos, Common Tailorbirds, Common Iora, Green-billed Makolha, Asian Koel and high chance to see Blue-winged Pitta in rainy season.

Rare bird possible to see in Winter season such as Black-headed Ibis, Lesser Adjuntants, Painted Stork another specie such as Yellow-browed Warbler, Black-naped Oriole, Black-capped Kingfsher, Taiga Flycatcher, Asian Brown Flycatchers, Thick-billed Warbler, Whiskered Terns, Oriental Pratincole(May-August), Brown Shrikes, Painted Storks Spot-billed Pelican and more.

Chan Ta Then waterfall habitat is secondary forest and mix every green forest bird such as White- rumped Shama, Black-crested Bulbul, Dollarbird, Created Serpent Eagle, Bar-winged Flycatcher-shrike, Hill Myna, Blue-winged Pitta.

Lat Krabang located east side of Bangkok, and one of two largest district in Bangkok surrounded by rice fled, fsh pond and garden. For here is good place for watching bird on the way back to Bangkok from Bang Phra, bird similar Bang Phra but we looking for new specie such as Glossy Ibis, Greater Painted Snipe, Bronze-winged Jacana, Pheasant- tailed Jacana, Asian Golden Weaver, Black-shoulder Kite, Stork-billed Kingfsher, Striated Warbler(grass bird) and more.
