The coastal fringe of the Red River delta is one of the most important areas for migratory shorebirds in the country. The Xuan Thuy National Park is the most important site in this area .It provides an internationally important wintering ground for endangered Black-faced Spoonbill, the rare Suander’s Gull, and the Spoon–billed Sandpiper.(for this species more difficult to found in Thailand)

Facilities : Very basic accommodation is available at the reserve.

When to go : Large number of migratory shorebirds are found in Sebtember , October , March and April .In December and January there are large nembers of waterfowl.
